President Trump’s personal style is not my style. Nor was he my first choice. (I voted for John Kasich in the 2016 GOP primaries.)
Nevertheless, we have only two choices in November. And I have come to believe that the Democratic Party poses an existential threat to the United States—with its embrace of socialism, anti-Americanism, divisive identity politics, and undemocratic, deep-state corruption.
I would not have said this of the Democratic Party of 1980, or even 2000. I would say this about the Democratic Party of Barack Obama, and the Democratic leadership that has taken over since his presidency.
Among the more troubling schemes of the Democrats in recent years has been the Great Russia Hoax of 2016~17. The Russia Hoax wasted taxpayer dollars, distracted the public, and showcased the Democrats’ desire to use means outside the electoral process to alter election results. (And I’m supposed to trust them on mail-in voting? Yeah, right.)
The Wall Street Journal, not a pro-Trump paper, agrees:
Barack Obama on Michael Flynn
The lawyer President misstates the crime and the real threat to justice
Here’s a sample:
“Barack Obama is a lawyer, so it was stunning to read that he ventured into the Michael Flynn case in a way that misstated the supposed crime and ignored the history of his own Administration in targeting Mr. Flynn. Since the former President chose to offer his legal views when he didn’t need to, we wonder what he’s really worried about.”
It now appears that the Obama Administration was involved in some very undemocratic machinations, right up until Obama’s last day in office.
And who are the Democrats running in November? President Obama’s second-in-command.
