President Trump: packed churches on Easter Sunday?

Trump wants ‘packed churches’ and economy open again on Easter despite the deadly threat of coronavirus

I have generally been supportive of the president’s desire to reopen the country, and to restart the economy (largely because we have no other choice).

That said, there is a difference between accepting inevitable, unavoidable risks, and actively tempting fate.

Before we pack churches, NBA games, political rallies, or any other densely packed venues…what say we first reach the point where we can open all retail stores, work out at the gym, go to the office, and eat in restaurants without undue fear?

I understand the symbolic importance of Easter Sunday. Sure I do. But let’s ease our way back into normalcy; and let’s walk before we attempt to sprint.
