Although still in his thirties, Kim Jong Un is obese, a smoker, and reportedly suffers from various ailments, including high blood pressure.
It is no big surprise then, to read a headline like this one:
The wild card, of course, is that there is no clear line of succession in the Hermit Kingdom after Kim Jong Un.
And Kim’s rule is anything but stable. Given his state of health, Kim, age 36, may not live to see the age of 50.
He is also far from universally popular among senior North Korean cadres. A coup, or a coup attempt, would not be out of the question.
